Sudip Ranjan Hatua, Ph.D.

I born and brought up in an interior village of Medinipore (Now Paschim means West), West Bengal, India. It is very near to the birth place of great ISWAR CHANDRA VIDYASAGAR. I did my 10th Standard at "Panchberia Ramchandra Smrity Siksha Mandir" and 12th Standard at  "Sonakahali High School" followed by B.Sc. from City College (University of Calcutta) with Economics, Mathematics and Physics. Afterwards, completed my Special Honours and Masters Degree (MA) in Economics and Bachelor of Library & Information Science from Rabindra Bharati University. I did my Associateship in Documentation and Information Science (ADIS equivalent to Masters in Library & Information Science ) course from Documentation Research and Training Center (DRTC), Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore, India during 1999-2001). I completed my PhD (2009) from Vidya Sagar University under the supervision of Professor Devika P. Madalli of DRTC, ISI, Bangalore.

I started my professional career as Project Assistant at ICAST, National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL), Bangalore, followed by Librarian an Karshak Engineering College, Hyderabad and Technical Assistant at Central Library Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.

I switched over from Administrative job to Academic arena and joined as Faculty in the Dept. of Library & Information Science, Rabindra Bharati University where I spent lots of years as Students.
